Native plant material was the “General Store” for Cherokee families and white settlers. Start the day with a media visit with the “Plant Tribe” to learn what was used for flavor and pharmacy. Sample some traditional Cherokee foods and then tour the Indian Botanical Gardens. At the end of the day there is an optional visit to the Cherokee Fall Festival to see the winning crafts and agricultural exhibits.
